Playing the Past Online

A collaboration with Emily Kugler (Howard U) and an assortment of guests. We are recording actual play of games with 18th-century themed content. We are also at work on an essay on the queering and browning of Regency-inspired dating simulators.

THE MYSTERIES OF STRAWBERRY HILL

A Dungeons & Dragons Campaign

I run a 5th Edition campaign set around Strawberry Hill (loosely connected to reality in MANY ways). Begun at ASECS and continuing online, all players are eighteenth-century scholars, and all player characters are 18th century people or characters!

ASECS GAME ROOM

An after-hours space for play

Intended to debut in 2020, the ASECS Game Room invites both casual and enthusiast gamers. 18th-century card games, 18th-century-themed modern games, and social board games are all welcome and provided. Signups for roleplaying games will also be provided.
